Hello! We are so excited you are here! We are the Dilley Girls; a multigenerational (multi-gen) family that includes my teenage daughter and I, my elderly Mom, a precious family friend (who’s water is thicker than blood), and her pre-teen granddaughter. Yup! 5 independent, strong willed, and opinionated ladies from 8 to 74 years old under one fairly small roof.

How do we do It? For starters there is a lot of noise, laughter, tears, and stinking good food. We hope you enjoy this glimpse into our lives as we delve into “multi gen” home organization, cooking, homemaking, décor, DIY projects, and reviews of our favorite products that make things easier.
Why This Blog?
We get it, there are a lot of other home and family lifestyle blogs out there to follow, but we were struggling to find much info on “multi-gen” households. Our nontraditional family living situation is becoming more and more of a requirement for many people. Skyrocketing costs of living, coupled with grandparents raising their grandchildren on fixed incomes, are on the rise. No matter what your unique family life looks like, we hope our journey is an encouragement to you. We hope to help offer answers or solutions to some of your nagging questions and challenges.

Join forces with us as we navigate making our home a place of refuge for all its inhabitants. No small feat. If you know, you know! What the 8-year-old wants and needs is not always what the 74 year old wants or needs and vice versa! We just have to make our systems and solutions work for everyone while we learn to compromise and find peace and fulfillment along the way.
